Support the Biosphere, Museum of the Environment
Montreal’s Biosphere, Museum of the Environment, may well be shut down at the end of the year.

The lease is set to expire – right when we most need a facility to educate the public on the impact of climate change. The Biosphere is an inspiring place for people who care about the planet .
Here in Toronto a shoe museum is viable, but not one focused on climate change?

You can write to Minister of the Environment, Catherine McKenna (ec.ministre-minister.ec@canada.ca) to ask the government to preserve the Biosphere, and also to give it long-term it financial support and have it utilized to the fullest.

And be sure to visit if you are in Montreal.
It’s exhibits include:

  • + 1°c: what difference does it make?
In life-sized videos, scientists answer your questions about climate change. Observe natural, meteorological and climatic phenomena on a giant interactive globe of the Earth.

  • Design the future. Reconnect with the natural environment around us and grasp the importance of drawing inspiration from nature in order to adapt to climate change.
  • énergies renouvelables – l’heure des choix. Is it possible for the world to work entirely on renewable energy? Discover the different renewable energy technologies and try them out in the interactive modules!

My wife and I were at the Biosphere in November for the first time and absolutely loved it. It would be a tragedy if it were lost.
