People’s Climate March in Toronto, September 21, 2014
The march brought over 3,ooo participants to Nathan Phillips Square, to march in solidarity with the New York event, just days before a landmark climate summit at the U.N.
It was organized by volunteers from climate-related groups and concerned individuals, responding to a call from AVAAZ for marches around the world.
The People’s Climate Movement was started by Ontario residents who helped organize the 2014 People’s Climate March in Toronto. After the march, the PCM organization was formed by participants who wanted to keep working on Climate issues.
